Afterschool Program Assistant
Emmy Husfloen is the Afterschool Program Assistant at RiseUp Partnership, where she helps to provide quality programming for youth that helps them stay connected to the community.
Emmy originally joined RiseUp Partnership as a mentor, because she wanted to work with local youth who needed support. Now she’s an advocate for the creation of safe spaces, like youth centers, for young people in the community. She has also worked in Red Wing at 3M Fall Protection for more than 20 years, and is a graduate of Ellsworth High School.
Emmy is a passionate advocate for suicide prevention and outreach. She is currently working to launch a non-profit called Red Wing Suicide Prevention to offer mental health support and help break the stigma around mental health in the community. She lives in Red Wing with her husband, daughter, and their dog and cats.
