Meet Rachel, Winger Flight Paths Intern

This spring, RiseUp Red Wing partnered with the Winger Flight Paths program at Red Wing High School and hosted Rachel, an intern with an interest in social work. Rachel helped lead the middle school afterschool program, where she mentored students and forged connections with the other staff at RiseUp Red Wing. 

As a current high school student, Rachel loved seeing the growth of the individual middle schoolers she mentored. She was able to build strong relationships with her mentees and had the opportunity to help train the other high school mentors alongside RiseUp Red Wing leadership. This experience gave Rachel a glimpse into her future as a social worker, and she’s more excited than ever to step into her chosen career.
